Built for Production is one person in Portland, Oregon. I'm Josh.
I'm not an electrician. My background is e-commerce and search, and I repair electronics at my own bench. A repair bench teaches two habits: read the manual, and distrust a number with no source.
This store exists for one situation. You bought a 3 phase machine, because old iron costs less. Then you found out your shop has single phase power. Now you're three weeks into forum threads. There are four ways to fix it. The makers' sizing rules don't match. A maker's calculator recommends that maker's unit.
So here's what I'm building. Each maker's sizing rule side by side, with the maker's name on it and the arithmetic shown. The listing status of each unit in the maker's exact words. The maker's manual on the product page, once the maker allows it. When the smaller unit fits the rule, I say so. When your compressor or your CNC needs the bigger one, I say that too, and I show you whose rule says it.
Here's what I don't do. I don't give wiring instructions and I don't rule on code. Your install goes to a licensed electrician. The makers say the same thing in writing. Hard application questions go to the maker's engineers, and I'll give you their number.
Here's what the store is. An online retailer. The makers build the units. Your unit ships to you from the maker or its distributor, not from a warehouse of ours. The Portland address is a mailbox. Nothing ships from it and nothing returns to it.
