What to have ready for a sizing question
The motor nameplate: horsepower, volts and full load amps. The machine type. Whether it starts under load (a compressor, a lift, a pump). Whether it has a CNC or electronic control. How many machines run at once. Your service size at the panel.
What we answer, and what we hand off
We answer sizing questions with the maker's published rule and the arithmetic. Wiring, service size, code and permit questions go to a licensed electrician and your local inspector. Application questions the maker's document doesn't settle go to the maker's engineers, and we give you their number.
