Sample listing. This page shows the layout a real product gets. It is not a real product and cannot be bought. Prices are placeholders.
A rotary phase converter control panel sold without the idler motor. On the maker's own table, the 10 hp size carries 10 hp of total running load and starts one motor up to 5 hp (sample figures). Single phase 240V in, 3 phase 240V out.
What size do you need?
A real listing shows the maker's own sizing rule here, with the math for common machines. Sample figures:
- 5 hp lathe, on a 2x rule: 5 x 2 = 10. The 10 hp size fits.
- 5 hp piston compressor, on a 2.5x rule: 5 x 2.5 = 12.5. The rule points to the 15 hp size.

Listing status
A real listing quotes the maker's exact listing words for this model. Sample: "Listed control panel." Ask your local inspector what he requires before you order.
Warranty
A real listing quotes the maker's warranty terms, part by part. Sample: 2 years on the control panel.
Who installs it
A licensed electrician. The maker's installation manual covers the connections. Your electrician will want it.
What arrives
The control panel comes boxed by parcel. Inspect the box before you sign. See shipping and returns.
Shipping
Free shipping in the lower 48. Small drives ship by parcel. Converters ship by LTL freight on a pallet. Lead time: see the Shipping policy. Read the Shipping policy for what to do when the truck arrives.
Returns
30 days from delivery. The unit must be unused: not wired, not energized, original packaging kept. If you change your mind, you pay return freight. If it arrives damaged, defective or wrong, we do. Any restocking fee mirrors the maker's terms. Read the Returns policy before you order.
Before you sign for a freight delivery
Inspect the crate. Note any damage on the delivery receipt. Send photos within 2 business days.
We show the math.
A sizing answer you can't check is an opinion. Every sizing answer here names the maker's published rule, the document it came from, and the arithmetic. Check it yourself.
The maker's rule, with the maker's name on it.
Makers disagree with each other on sizing. We show each rule as the maker wrote it. We don't average them and we don't invent a rule of our own.
The smaller unit when it fits. The bigger one when the load needs it.
When a maker's rule says the smaller unit carries your machine, we say so. When your compressor, lift or CNC needs more, we say that too, and we show you whose rule says it.
We don't play electrician.
One person runs this store, and he's not an electrician. Wiring, service size, code and permits go to a licensed electrician and your local inspector. The makers say the same in writing. Hard application questions go to the maker's engineers, and we give you their number.
One person answers.
Call (855) 923-2610 or email contact@builtforproduction.com. One person answers, and it's the same person every time.
Policies written for freight, in plain words.
Converters ship by truck. Our Shipping and Returns pages say what arrives, what to check before you sign, who pays return freight and what a return costs. No surprises in a later paragraph.
Why not buy direct from the maker?
You can, and if you know the brand and the size you want, that's a fine way to buy. Come here when you don't know yet. We put the makers' converter types and sizing rules side by side, on one page, with the math visible, so you can pick the unit that fits your machine and your service. We never claim a lower price than the maker.
